The Benefits to Cleaning your Roof:
Prevent Damage:
Cleaning removes moss, algae, and debris, preventing them from causing damage to your roof’s surface and structure over time. Examples of the types of damage, can be wood rotting, tiles splitting and drainage points becoming obstructed.
Extend Roof Lifespan:
Cleaning helps to maintain the integrity of roofing materials, potentially extending the lifespan of your roof and delaying the need for costly replacements.
Enhance Energy Efficiency:
A clean roof reflects more sunlight, reducing heat absorption and contributing to better energy efficiency in your home.
Improve Curb Appeal:
A well-maintained and clean roof enhances the overall appearance of your home, boosting curb appeal and potentially increasing property value.
Prevent Mould and Mildew:
Removing organic growth like moss and algae helps prevent the development of mould and mildew, which can have adverse effects on both the roof and the air quality inside your home. This can lead to damp/mould patches in areas like your ceiling.
Investing in a professional roof cleaning will not only preserve the aesthetic appeal of your home but also safeguards its structural integrity and can save you money in the long run.
Why low water pressure wash?
Moss removal roof cleaning is suitable for pretty much all tiles. We use specifically designed telescopic scrapers for the job to gently remove the moss from your roof tiles. We are fully trained to safely work at height using ladders, scaffold towers and/or cherry pickers if necessary.
This process is not as thorough as a low pressure, deep clean, but you will see the peak of the results a little later down the line. Why? Because the roof treatment is a soft-wash solution which works with mother nature and will continue to wash away as the rain falls.
After the moss has been removed, a controlled application of a soft wash treatment is applied. This is a Biocide solution used to kill any remaining organic growth on your roof. It will also form a barrier to your roof to help deter organic growth for years to come.
